Podgorica and its surrounding area have a very rich potential for water sports and have always been a fisherman’s paradise. Bearing in mind that Podgorica has six rivers and three lakes in its surrounding, diversity of fish species: chub, trout, eel, bleak, grayling and sneep makes this region a perfect location for fishing.

Tennis
Playing tennis in Montenegro dates from the end of the last century. The first tennis match in Montenegro took place in 1894 in Cetinje, and its main participant was the king of Montenegro, Nikola Petrovic, dressed in traditional national costume. This sport is very popular in Podgorica.
